Equality of the Sexes is in Congress

Congress reintroduced legislation in both the House and Senate promoting the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). The ERA would enshrine equality of the sexes within our Constitution.

In response, the League's CEO, Virginia Kase Solomón, stated, "Our democracy depends on women, and now is the time to finally reflect that in our nation’s laws."

Standing Against Dark Money

Congress reintroduced the DISCLOSE Act, which would increase financial transparency and combat the power of dark money in politics.

The League supports this legislation. As CEO Virginia Kase Solomón stated, "Voters have the right to know who is trying to influence their votes. The wealthiest political donors should not be able to influence our politics in secret."
